Two ranked British K-1 Rules fighters are in action at Saturday’s big EM Legend/Superfight Series Hungary collaboration taking place at the Messzi Istvan Sports Hall in the city of Kecskemet.
Darren “Dynamite” Anstey and Chris Melhuish face Hungarian opponents as part of the stacked card.
Anstey fights out of the Storm Gym in Luton, and is currently ranked first in the 90 kg weight category in the Independent UK K-1 Rankings. He’s also number-two in the 85 kg weight division. Nicknamed “Dynamite”, the hard-hitting Antsey boasts a record of 13 wins in 16 fights with all of his victories coming by stoppage.
Antsey faces Balazs Kiss, one of Hungary’s top fighters.
Melhuish fights out of the FIGHTWORX gym in Torquay. He’s currently ranked ninth in the 77 kg weight category, and is coming off a TKO win over Lean Jason at last month’s SFS VIII: Pure Evolution event in Dunstable. Melhuish meets another top Hungarian, Dominik Bereczki.
Bereczki was scheduled to face Han Feilong, one of the elite fighters in the EM Legend organization. Feilong is unable to compete this Saturday because of a leg injury suffered last month during a match in Thailand.
Both Anstey and Melhuish are represented by Amir Subasic Management.
