Brazilian contender Ariel Machado announced his next bout on social media today.
The former Glory light heavyweight title challenger will return to ring at the WGP #57 event taking place on 13 September in Curitiba, Brazil.
Machado will face Chilean Marcelo Nunez in a heavyweight special attraction on the card, which features a four-man light middleweight tournament and a women’s title unification bout between Nina Loch and Julie Werner.
It will be the first bout of the year for Machado, who is still serving a 20-month suspension from Glory for a failed drug test. The Brazilian tested positive after his unanimous decision loss to Glory Light Heavyweight Champion Artem Vakhitov in October 2017. He’ll be eligible to compete for Glory again on or around August 21 of this year.
