GLORY announced today that an additional bout has been added to the GLORY 55 Superfight Series event. The GLORY 55 Superfight Series takes place prior to the GLORY 55 event on Friday July 20 at the Hulu Theatre in New York, and streams live exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
In a lightweight contest, Chris “Super Swiss” Lukusa (15-3) opposes fellow American PJ Sweda (4-2). Sweda has competed for Lion Fight, and Lukusa has a loss on his ledger to the undefeated Elvis Gashi.
The addition of Lukusa-Sweda makes a total of seven bouts scheduled for the GLORY 55 Superfight Series. Former welterweight champion Cedric Doumbe headlines against Alan Scheinson of Argentina. Former super bantamweight queen Tiffany Van Soest makes her return to the ring against Sofia Olofsson. Meanwhile Virginia’s Trevor Ragin battles Itay Gershon, and heavyweights Junior Tafa and Anthony McDonald will try and settle their war of words in the ring. Tafa and McDonald have traded barbs since February, and the fight is one anticipated by fans and followers of both young fighters. New York favorite Joe Taylor will also see action.
Here is the updated GLORY 55 Superfight Series line up.
