Bob Sapp returning to the ring in Turkey January 27

Bob “The Beast” Sapp is no stranger to longtime kickboxing fans. Sapp,  a onetime NFL player, competed in K-1 during its golden years, and even defeated the legendary Ernesto Hoost in the K-1 World GP finals in 2002. Sapp also fought and lost to Mirko Cro Cop, Peter Aerts, and Remy Bonjasky.  Not to mention Sapp has also fought in MMA against some pretty tough guys over the years.

Sapp, 44, hasn’t fought much in the past few years, but he still attracts attention. He’s a huge physical specimen and charismatic, two attributes that make him a great fighter for promoters to feature on cards overseas. Recently, it was announced Sapp will face Turkish fighter Selcuk Ustabasi January 27 on the Mix Fight Championship card in Izmir, Turkey.

It should be entertaining as long as it lasts!
