Former Glory title challenger Christian “Bad News” Baya will face reigning titlist Alexander Skvortsov for the Fair Fight Lightweight Title on 26 October in Yekaterinburg, Russia, according to a social media post today by Fair Fight Promotion. The Skvortsov-Baya title bout is the main event for Fair Fight X, which will also include a middleweight grand prix tournament.
Baya earned the title opportunity with a tough extra-round decision win over Vadim Vaskov at Fair Fight IX in July. The loss was Vaskov’s first as a professional after 11 straight wins to start his career.
Skvortsov will be making the third defense of his title. In March, the Russian fighter retained the belt via five-round decision against Czech veteran Michal Krcmar.
The Skvortsov-Baya bout will be the Fair Fight X main event, with 12 bouts total slated to take place. The complete fight card “will be announced soon.”
