Speculation continues to swirl regarding the next ring appearance of Badr Hari. The Moroccan Bad Boy is regularly posting videos of himself working out on social media, which has led to rumors of a Hari return on the big Glory 59 event in Amsterdam on September 29. Hari hasn’t fought since his March 3 unanimous decision victory over Hesdy Gerges at Glory 51.
Glory has yet to make an official announcement, so its possible that the parties are still in negotiations over contract details. Rumors have been published that Hari will fight in Amsterdam in September, and then have a rematch with heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven later in the year. That’s definitely a scenario that makes sense-Glory usually has a big pay per view event in early December. Last year, Verhoeven headlined a big December show with a successful title defense against Jamal Ben Saddik. Rico was announced as a participant on the September 29 event but an opponent has not been named yet.
