Abdallah Wins Tournament at A1 World Combat Cup
Mohamed “Mo” Abdallah of Germany won an eight man tournament heavyweight tournament Saturday in Hasselt, Belgium. The name of the event is the A1 World Combat Cup. The tournament included Enfusion champion Luis Tavares, Superkombat veteran Patrick “Big Swiss” Schmid, and Mike’s Gym fighter Donegi Abena.

Not all the results were available, but Abena upset Tavares in the opening round of the event. Abdallah defeated Schmid in the second round, and then won his last fight to claim the prize of 110,000 Euros.

Abdallah is still in his early 20’s. He competed at GLORY 41, losing by first round stoppage to D’Angelo Marshall after making the mistaking of trying to trade punches with Marshall. Perhaps the young fighter earned his way back to one of the bigger shows by winning a tournament that featured some solid heavyweight talent.
