The long anticipated rematch between top female kickboxers Anissa Haddaoui and Jorina Baars will not take place in June, according to reports in the Dutch media.
The fight was originally scheduled to take place last September. Haddaoui, the 2016 Kunlun Fight Mulan Legend champion, was injured during the 2018 tournament and the fight was off.
In January, the WFL announced the rematch would be held in April at the WFL event scheduled for Hoofddorp, Netherlands.
The WFL postponed the 21 April event until the 9th of June because of delays in getting a permit to hold the event. Baars is unavailable to compete on that date, according to reports.
Baars defeated Haddaoui back in 2011. Both women went on to become known as top fighters on the international level. Haddaoui competes for Kunlun Fight, while Baars is a Lion Fight champion and currently fights for Bellator Kickboxing.
